About this product

Product Information

This action-packed Hong Kong film, produced by Tsui Hark, is a clear predecessor of CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON. In the movie, an evil eunuch warlord (Donnie Yen) conspires against the Ming Dynasty and meets his match in the form of a motley band of acrobatic warriors led by the rebel Chow (Tony Leung) and the manager of the titular inn, the mysterious Jade (Maggie Cheung). This epic production features masterful fight sequences and a stunning finale shot in the Gobi desert.

m*r_store was quick to respond to my queries regarding their listing, offering the best price i've seen for a great movie, and after buying, i'd received the movie shortly after, arriving in great condition just as shown in its listing.

Item was shipped i. A timely manner , it was a good value for the item, the item was almost as described and would have been if the packaging would have been better, it has a crease across the Jolie name now, even as disappointing that is, the overall rating is still good.

  • May take a second viewing to fully absorb

Meh. Sensitivity to bring the audience to an understanding with the characters was poorly executed. It is elegant but insignificant when it's fleshed out with narcissism hiding human misery. I thought subliminally it wanted to demonstrate a philosophy, in that regards it was successful

  • Don't expect much, but ... you will still be disappointed.

... even subtitles couldn't make much sense of this. A few moments (at best, a few seconds) were ... interesting, but ... wow. All that time, money and effort went into this movie, and for nothing. The only thing I found ... entertaining was that one of the female's name, in the credits, was ... Tiffany. But this movie was no jewel.
