    Almost the original

We have the original Life game from 1960. Our original spinner has a broken pin on the wheel. This spinner works flawlessly right out of the box. We can use it with the game and ignore the broken one on the game board. This spinner has a green pointer base and the wheel has a solid center, very much like the original (the original had gold on the pointers to the numbers where these are white like the wheel). If I can replace the wheel in the original spinner with this wheel and get it to spin freely, I will be ecstatic. If I can determine how to replace the entire spinner in the board, I will be euphoric. For now, we use the spinner just like it is and I am happy.

    Life

I've always loved this game and the new one with the card reader is not fun. I ordered this thinking it was gonna be brand new but it wasn't. Some of the stickers were torn up and I had missing pieces that go on the game board. Also the instructions were missing and the a lot of the life tiles were also gone. The game is still wonderful to play but based on the price, I feel like I should have gotten a better quality of board. I was expecting all the pieces of the game to be there and they weren't.

  • Not cheap, but worth the money

This version of the game has many life lessons that are not in newer versions: educational choices, career choices, insurance decisions, stock purchasing options. I started playing the game with my five year old grand children several years ago. Now they understand why purchasing insurance and going to college are important things to do and what affect gambling and buying stock can have on your finances. Some days they enjoy getting married and having a car full of children.

  • Additional Life Game Products

It's not the actual Life game, just additional game pieces. We played the family game and actually ended up using some of the additional game items. Lots of family fun!

  • Very Fun, A Great Hit From The Past

Better quality than any of the newer editions, both physically and in gameplay. Theres more to do and spin to win is actually possible unlike the newer editions where you put a cardboard circle on a spinner and it'll fly off the moment you spin, also there is actual interaction between players such as suing others or the action cards that have you share with others or similar actions. The older editions of The Game Of Life ( pre 2010 ) have allot more to offer then the newer editions which are very simplified and more targeted towards children vs being a game for the entire family or all ages to enjoy.
