Because I have no room to leave it rest and expand for 72hrs I had to put it on my bed, left it 12hrs, I'd read that massaging it helps to speed up the process, so I tried it on the slower areas, there was absolutely no smell off it and by bedtime it had expanded fully. I've found it comfortable and no issues, I have back problems and it certainly doesn't aggravate it. Worth the money. Thank you.
