    Not one of R&H best.

    Had this originally on vhs but lost in the mists of time. Good entertaining film hampered by some pretty awful acting but enhanced by some stunning music. The plot is too well known to be still a novelty but is saved by You'll never walk alone. Only minus was the dvd losing lipsync half way through but caught up later. Recommended for all musical fans but the dance routines owed quite a lot to Seven brides for seven brothers which is a far superior offering.
