Upgraded from 2 to 3 position safety like the newer Vanguard
My 1980's Weatherby Vanguard factory trigger works fine. Which I bought new in 1982. Just upgraded from the existing 2 position to the newer 3 position safety. Before with the 2 position safety I had to push the safety to (F) Fire to extract a live round. Now with the new 3 position safey the middle position which is a safe position that will let me extract a live round. The new model 611 Trigger has less creep if any at all than the factory trigger. I adjusted the pull from the Trimney factory setting 3lbs to 2lbs. I had to use a Dremel tool to remove very little wood for the safety lever arm to get it to fire. Which I already knew and read about online before buying the model 611 Timney. Also when I adjusted the trigger pull adjustment screw outwards to lessen the amount of trigger pull. The screw end also slightly hit wood stock. I had to Dremel very little in that area as well. Which was unexpected. Anyhow this 1980's Vanguard has the new millennium upgrade, feels sweet and safer. Best upgrade you can do for your rifle in 5 minutes.
Installation could not be easier. If you can use a screwdriver, you can do this. Crisp, consistent break. If you want to shrink your groups quickly and easily, buy this trigger. Weatherby vanguard 25-06 trigger replacement.
