    highly recommended to watch

when i first saw this film it made me wonder about these sky rise building and wonder if it could happen for real, and to my shock it has happen, its just shows how cutting corners can lead to disasters as we have seen here in England and the rest of the world, lessons to be learnt from this, great film and a must to watch.

  • A Flaming good film

I have not watched "The Towering Inferno" for many, many years so decided to re-visit it on DVD. I had forgotten just how long the film was & just how many Hollywood stars were in it. It is like a who's who of Hollywood A listers! After all these years I still enjoyed the film despite it now seeming a bit dated since the invention of CGI. All the action & stunts was done by real people & in sets, not on a computer, which still, in my humble opinion, is what The film industry of old was all about. They don't make em like they used to.

  • F.a.b

A perfect addition to my collection. From start to finish the storyline is engaging and indeed factual based . Top actors in the cast, who can act unlike today's actors who have little talent.

  • A Towering Thriller

I saw this when it first came out on the cinema back in the '70's. Made in the days before CGI and Blue-screen, all of the effects in this film are 'REAL'. The story is filled with Hollywood 'stars' of the day and once the fire breaks out the excitement never lets up. If you want a really good film the way that they used to make them, then grab your popcorn and settle down for some 'hot' thrills.
