Synopsis
This could be the night reads the sign above the firehouse door. And, indeed, with the introspection of a man prepared to face death with every alarm bell, Dennis Smith turns his observant eye upon the lives he unflinchingly places before his own. From his bawdy and brave fellow firefighters to the hopeful, hateful, beautiful and beleaguered residents of the poverty-stricken district where he works, this is the compelling human story of the most brutalizing -- and most rewarding -- profession in the country.

When I ordered this funko, I will admit I did have a question regarding a protector being included. When I reached out the seller they got back to me almost immediately and reassured me that regardless protector included or not the package would be put in the most safest packaging. What truly eased my worries was despite how fast it got here, there was no damages to the product at all. I truly cannot recommend buying from this seller enough!

This seller made things right in a heartbeat! The item was sent out lightning fast, but the U.S. Post office managed to take almost 4 weeks to get it to me! Great communication, and I would be thrilled to do business with him again.

  • An outstanding book

Arrived in good condition, already 1/4 of the way through in one day, I feel like this is going to be one of those books that you wind up reading 2-3 times. A mandatory read for anybody who calls themselves a fireman. I think I'll have to read all of Dennis Smith's work. Quit reading my choppy review, and buy this book.
