    Awesome history of the Russian Great Patriotic War.

    It is the most complete history of WW II from the Russian point of view. The western world has been exposed to very little of this conflict, and Burt Lancaster along with many historians have done a great job in bringing it to viewers.

    WW2 from the Russian Side

    While this documentary was made in 1978 when the Soviet Union was still alive, it still is a good 20-part story of the Russian participation in The Great Patriotic War. Very in-depth in all aspects in land, sea, and air including the end of the war against Japan. Well worth the price for any war historian.
