Sadly I can't say if it works as placed it in my build and got warnings codes, could be the cpu could be the motherboard could be any number of things but doubt its the cpu. All honesty however its sold as seen and a good price. Good ebayer in my opinion.

      plug and play replacement for 6th gen i3

      swapped an i3 for this i5 (uses same socket) and, once the BIOS had caught up it started running straight away. Now have 4 cores, instead of 2 for same TDP :)
