    Reliable restoration

    This restored workhorse still plays well after transferring 30 home betamax tapes to digital via capture card. The rewind sometimes fast-forwards, but hey this device is around 35 years old. I use a separate rewinder to reduce head wear, regardless. Updated capacitors are a big plus. Very pleased.

    Ancient but not decrepit

    After receiving two similar used items that failed to run, I halfway anticipated getting another, but this vintage product actually worked. Of course it didn't earn 5 stars because it was old and not immaculate, nor was it expected to be, but except for a defective included RCA cable, it's condition was precisely as advertised, and willingly purchased.
