Yota Moteuchi has a problem that has plagued many teenage boys: he is in love with a girl who thinks of him only as a friend. The object of his affection is Moemi, a young woman who, to make matters worse, happens to be in love with Yota's best friend, Takashi. However, Yota's life changes when he goes into a video shop and pulls a video off the shelf, "Video Girl Ai," that inadvertently puts another woman in his life. A sweet high school romance that also takes a darker look at how being in love can be extremely painful, VIDEO GIRL AI is an excellent series that is both comic and touching.
