    High Quality Recording of a Hilarious Show

    Arrived quickly via international post. Genuine DVD recording. If you aren't familiar with the show, it is definitely not for the easily offended. I heard that when they showed this on the BBC, despite repeated explicit warnings, they absolutely shattered the record for number of complaints from viewers received. The first half is your typical Jerry Springer show from the 90s - fat women on stripper poles, transexual love triangles, an obese black man with a diaper fetish... but performed by an exceptionally talented cast of classically trained opera singers. The first act ends with the black guy in a diaper trying to take a shot at the tap dancing KKK klansmen, but accidentally hitting Jerry... and then it gets weird....

    Laughs from beginning to end

    This is a great recording of the stage performance. The sound and picture quality is excellent. The show is not for everyone, but we found it hilarious and laughed out loud throughout. IT is a show that has to be viewed several times to catch all the in-jokes. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a broad mind and sense of humour

A clever, satirical, varied, challenging piece of theatre that ties together modern TV, ancient religion, human nature and puts all of humanity under the microscope by turning one of the most well known presenters of the last two decades into an Everyman figure. Richard Thomas's music will have musicians bursting into laughter in recognition of his parodies, while your family stares at you wondering what joke they missed as the style shifts like a runaway rollercoaster between Handel, Verdi, Wagner, Sondheim and so many others, while the clever interweaving of the characters and their stories will leave you fighting for breath between laughter.
