My apologies for the delayed feedback! This was an easy transaction with quick shipment. The book arrived exactly as described – used, but perfectly readable for this novelization. I appreciate the secure packaging that ensured its condition wasn't jeopardized. The shipping delay was entirely due to the USPS misdelivering it, not the seller, and they were incredibly understanding when I explained the situation. Highly recommend! A++++

    This book is awesome

Mr. Hood's Holiday House has stood for a thousand years, welcoming countless children into its embrace. It is a place of miracles where every childhood whim may be satisfied. There is a price to be paid, of course, but young Harvey Swick, bored with his life and beguiled by Mr. Hood's wonders, does not stop to consider the consequences. It is only when the house shows its darker face—when Harvey discovers the pitiful creatures that dwell in its shadows—that he comes to doubt Mr. Hood's philanthropy. But the house and its mysterious architect are not about to release their captive without a battle. Mr. Hood has ambitions for his new guest, for Harvey's soul burns brighter than any he has encountered in ten centuries . . .

  • A Dark Fantasy Tale for all ages

After watching Hellraiser, I was compelled to read the books of Clive Barker. I discovered this book during my teens and it changed me and the way I thought about fantasy. Like the stories of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Roald Dahl, Stephen King, and J.K. Rowling, The Thief of Always is a wild, dark, and childlike adventure that shows you what you should do to spend the time wisely because once the time as a child has gone, it can never be relived again. It's a fable, a morality tale, an adventure, horror, and fantasy novel for children and adults who are children at heart. It's a great book; Clive Barker's prose is engaging and his illustrations are a feast for the eyes of anyone who loves his artwork. I highly recommend it. It's worth the read, especially for children and teens who love ...

  • This is a childhood favorite

I remember reading this book for the first time, it was amazing. Come across it again is a piece of my childhood and the book is just as good as I remember it. Read it.
