    Haynes manuals fall short on content

    This manual ( like most ) Haynes manual have shortcomings, heavy on engine rebuilding, but when I go to find specifics on my 1988 chevy s10 with efi, the diagram of the engine is a CA emissions equipped carb'd version, with a listing on components ( a, b,c, etc.. ) which refer to the items on the 4.3L v-6 page. While I find some useful information in it, my go to is the factory service manuals that I purchased and when I cannot find exactly what I need I try to cross reference to the Haynes as a backup. I am looking for the Chilton's for my vehicles, as they seem a bit more detailed to my liking.

    Pretty informative yet lacking some info

    Informative, specs, shows how to rebuild engine, some suspention and electrical, but didnt cover what i was needing, replacing door seals and window rubbers, but handy to have. Also didnt tell me how to replace headliner so off to youtube i go.
