A real Fish Tale, The Meg
I actually see it as a comedy in a number of ways. But, and this is the important thing, it was fun to watch despite the fact that the screenwriters obviously took themselves far more seriously than even the most credulous viewer ever could. Suspending disbelief? Not a chance. Jaws, with far less technical advancement, blows this fish out of the water on that score.
