While many two-dimensional racing games revolve around cars, the 1985 game "Excitebike" for the Nintendo Entertainment System puts the player on the seat of a motocross bike, and takes the racing off-road. Like real motocross tracks, the game's tracks feature jumps and obstacles. There are three different modes of gameplay available, which allows players to customize their experience. In mode A, players race solo and attempt to beat their own time. Mode B is great for players who want a little more competition, because it allows them to race against the computer. For those who want a more creative experience, Design Mode gives players the option of making their own race tracks.

    Lol 8bit games with good graphics.

    I bought this for one reason and that was the fact that it has a historic piece of hardware on the inside: the official nintendo famicom to NES game adaptor. In the early days of the NES, Nintendo had a bunch of famicom games that had been reworked with english text, but when they decided to pit in the 10NES lockout chip inside the original NES they ended up having to widen the rom board so that the chip in the cartridge could talk to the chip in the system. End result: wider game boards. As a money saving technique for the first run of nintendo games. They decided to use the pre existing famicom boards that had been reprogrammed and make an adaptor for them to work with the nes. These adaptors were put inside the cartridge itself and ultimately made the NES cartridges much larger than ...

With it's superior 8-bit graphics, and catchy intro jingle, one can get lost on that dirt track for hours, oftentimes neglecting basic human functions such as eating or caring for children. But not only does this cartridge contain that noblest of two-wheeled amusements, but it can also be disassembled to play an endless library of Japan-only releases for the Nintendo Family Computer. No more towering game-carts, nearly eclipsing your choice Famiclone – now you can have a janky-looking circuit board adding a cyberpunk element to your gaming.     FUN was coded into a game and Excitebike came out. 1985 was never the same!!

    Memories

    I got the game for my husband. After working with it for 5 mins I really thought it wasn't working then bam it came on. Nintendo's are fickle and hard to work. My husband loves it and has competitions with his kids.
