ASHRAE Fundamentals
The basic fundamental information and details for professionals in HVAC engineering. Probably not useful for a layperson or non-engineer. Not a how-to-book, assumes that you have a basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and the underlying concepts of HVAC engineering. Invaluable for the practicing professional. This book doesn't really change much over the 4 year period it's updated. If you've let your ASHRAE lapse, and need to get current climate data, etc, or you need it for a college class. eBay is probably the best way to go for value.
