    An excellent compilation for anyone new to The Carpenters, or indeed a fan who wants rarer tracks, it includes a Spanish lyric version of Sing, plus tracks from the Carpenters trio line up, a welcome addition are tracks recorded for Japanese market in the form of jingles, not songs as such, but for a collector, pure gold.

    Good value but more recent CDs sound better.

    Contains a wonderful version of Lennon and McCartney's 'Goodnight' in very good sound quality, available on no other Carpenters release. Some of the other recordings are poor in sound quality compared with more recent CDs by the Carpenters though. The original vinyl LPs still offer the best sound quality I have heard and may outlast both digital and analogue tapes and CDs.

    The Carpenters, Box Set.

    Some CD's can sound a bit harsh or too bass driven in the copy of the original music and sometimes song have been shortened so your not going to hear the very end. Earlier CD's sound better than most Remastered version's. This CD box set from 1991 is a good buy.
