    Season 8

    I have not even opened the box. This is a present for my wife who is currently hooked on watching "In The Heat of the Night" for "free" on Roku, but does not have access to Season 8. Since the product is non-refundable or returnable, it does not matter if these DVDs work or not. I will give the box to my wife May 9th (or whenever she finishes Season 7 and wishes she had Season 8). As I bought first and did my research second, I discovered Season 8 is not 22-1 hour episodes; but four movies 90 minutes each. Looking back, paying $90 for four DVDs does seem a little steep, but it's supply and demand. Bottom line: Thank you, and in a few weeks I will revise this review if you insist.

    In The Heat Of The Pitch Black Night

    Any fan of this fine series, which would have no chance of production today in our PC world, would want these final four episodes, actually tv movie length. Occasional reruns on obscure channels never include this "Season Eight." Unfortunately, it is marred (at least my copy was) by terrible color and contrast rendition, which make many of the scenes seem as if they were shot in darkness, without any lighting.

    Best show of all TV shows.

    Love this TV show!! My favorites actors are Carroll and Hugh O'Connor. Love the expression on Carroll face. Don't know how the rest of the cast keep from laughing at Carroll. Wish that they show the bloopers. I would love to see it.
