    Great gift idea for former, current and new Portland residents (and visitors!)

    This is a perfect gift as a coffee table book. Great to see the "then" and "now" pictures side by side.

    not early enough for me but good

    I was hoping the photos would go back to much earlier when my great-grandparents built on land which was almost empty. The photos are great, though, capturing most buildings at the same angles for good comparisons. Would have been nice to see more of Meier and Frank than awnings and trees, but that would require another angle.
