The Kensington K72359WW Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball is a sleek and ergonomic mouse designed for precision and comfort. With a trackball for easy navigation and wireless connectivity options including Bluetooth and USB, it is a versatile choice for users. Its black colour and compact design make it a stylish and practical option for those looking for a reliable and efficient mouse for their computer or tablet. The optical tracking method ensures smooth and precise cursor movement, while the 4 buttons provide essential functionality for everyday use.
Well made quality feel though not cheap easy to use , ONLY ONE PROBLEM the static friction required to get the trackball moving is quite ( relevant to the moving ball which is smooth and easy ) high making the initial movement a jump rather than a smooth action making it extremely difficult to be accurate with small movements , I hope as the mounting system of the ball " beds in " this annoyance will go , if not the trackball will have to go back as this problem will render this useless for anything fine and accurate . I have waited a few days of use and this problem has not go away I tried using my fingers in different ways this makes no difference . At a loss what to do as the trackball functions but not as I expect .
Bought this for PCB design work. Installation was very simple - just put in some batteries, plugged the dongle into a USB socket and Win 10 found it fine. So that I could customise a bit I downloaded the Kensington Works GUI and that was also easy to use. My only gripe is that I have both the ball and the scroll ring on their slowest settings and I would like it to work even slower on the PCB software, for precise positioning. But it is very precise even so. The GUI itself could be improved by responding immediately to changes in these speeds so that you could check them without exiting. Minor gripes though - very happy with the product overall.
I have always preferred Trackballs and IMHO Kensington are the best only annoying thing is the software does not work on the older versions and they had a lifetime warranty so although on this machine I am using a Expert Mouse Pro with lots of buttons it reverts to standard MS software and I foresee that eventually happening to the modern series there are six machines (of which two are Laptops) around here all have Kensington Trackballs on them, I would not give another make house room.
