An epic masterpiece that addresses real pioneering hardship without fanfare!!!
The Homesman movie was an outstanding portrayal of extreme hardship of human endurance that faced pioneers who were trying to scrape out a life on the frontier. This movie provided the viewer with an enhanced appreciation of the extreme hardship of early pioneer determination to confront the opportunities presented with trying to scratch out a living. I think its difficult for most of us to fully realize what the extent of hardship was really like...This movie with its superb cast takes the viewer to another level. Superb acting, great cinema photography, and simplified but effective script writing make this movie one of the truly under -appreciated masterpieces in real time. The viewer can not help buy feel a sadness for how the movie and storyline plays out!!! Kudos to Tommy Lee Jones for directing this truly outstanding movie in a no bars held manner. A scene in the movie may be offensive to most.
