    Not just a prequel

    This is an amazing movie that stands alone, even for someone who has never seen a Harry Potter film. I happen to be a real fan from way back, so it was a real treat to get back into J K Rowling's magic world. The 3d was outstanding and not contrived. The story was exciting and at times very humorous, and the acting superb. Another feature that I really enjoyed was the bonus material on the Blu Ray disc. I was amazed and thrilled at how much effort was put onto this movie, especially the fact that they actually built a 1926 version of New York in England, and the details that went into every set, and costume.     If you love anything Potter, You'll LOVE this.

    We have watched our DVD/BluRay so often I'm surprised we didn't wear them out! We bought this 3D version because we saw it in 3D when it first came to theaters in 2016, and since both our family room and bedroom are 3D and 4k, we bought both versions. This movie (especially in 3D or 4K are a MUST SEE! FANTASTIC story, loveable, endearing characters you will fall in love with from the get go! Not to mention the loveable, imaginative Beasts brought to life by Me Rowling! This movie has everything you could ask for in great entertainment, great acting, characters and AMAZING storylines! For anyone wanting good, clean entertainment, this will not disappoint, for a "Potterhead", anyone who loves JK Rowling, this is definitely a MUST BUY!! YOMou definite won't regret it!!

    Creative world of fantasy! Fun to re-watch. Separated time-line from the other Harry Potter events, but still engages and entertains as it stands beside them. Hope to see more spin-offs in this genre...

    The main character is a bit overboard

    The movie has a good storyline and progresses with a good flow. I enjoyed the movie, but for my personal opinion, I did not think Eddie Redmayne was the right actor for this part. But that is my opinion. Anyway, the movie is pretty good and has lots of good twist and turns. My 4 stars was based on the actor, Eddie Redmayne being a little bit too weird at times. Sort of turned me off.
