Molten glass is pressure-blown by machine into a mould with enough force to impress the pattern. The method bears no comparison to cutting, polishing and finishing solid glass by hand. Machine-moulded glass does not match genuine hand cut 24% lead crystal glass for appearance and fine quality neither does it enjoy the same status and standing”
