I am thrilled to find this product. It is clean, lightweight, and doesn't discolor my cockatoo's feathers. My girl, Hoku, started nibbling her feathers when we were dislocated from our home (due to lava) on the Big Island. I was afraid she was going to start plucking herself because of stress, but Grannick's Bitter Apple has solved this. Hoku is afraid of spray bottles so I use a cotton ball soaked in the Grannick's and swab the areas that she tends to over preen. She loves the rub down and it has stopped her from nibbling the feathers, but she still grooms herself. I do need to apply it twice a day, but it's worth the effort. It is now part of our ritual during playtime and she actually asks for the 'massage'. I am so happy that we nipped a nervous habit in the bud, thanks Grannick's!

This is not the kind of product that easily lends itself to reviews. We've been using it for 4 days now. The bird still gets pecked (affectionately) by its friend. It may take a while for this to work, or it may never work. The bird habit was years in the making, so i asume it will be tough to break. Shipping was fast.
