Top Notch Replacement Shower Head Holder

Product is spot on!! An exact replacement for my old shower head holder. It's great to know I could still get the exact replacement part.

  • Most critical review

    Could be better quality.

I have purchased a number of these over the years however if like my house the shower is used many times through the day and continually adjusted up & down. The problem seems to be that the springs in the slide mechanism at the back of the clamp seem to weaken and the slide will not stay in place and starts to work it's way downwards. You can disassemble and lengthen the springs but this is fiddly and you can end up losing one of the six springs and it can be difficult to get back together. The other problem can be with the shower head holder which again if adjusted often (tilted back and forwards) can fail and the shower head will keep drooping forwards which is annoying. I would recommend if the shower is not used often. Perhaps Mira could consider a heavy duty version for parents ...

  • Better designed than the new style holder

This old style Mira advance shower holder is better designed than the new style one. The problem with the new style holder is that the part that holds the shower head is not as rigid as the old style holder. The result of this is that the shower head falls out almost every time you adjusted it but that doesn't happen easily on this old style holder. The two major problems with this old style holder is firstly that it doesn't seem to be made any more by Mira so it is much more expensive than the new style holder. Secondly, the old style holder broke after a few years so reliability may not be as good as the new style holder. I managed to get the new style holder to fit onto the old style rail after the original holder broke, but if the new holder breaks I'm going back to this old style ...

  • Excellent item

When I had my new shower installed a couple of years ago the shower head holder was a little lose and over time it just gave in and no longer would support the shower head so having a shower wasn't great. The new support is fab, it's really tight and supportive and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another in the future if need be. The delivery was really fast to. Ty for that it came just in time.

  • Seriously Flawed.

Flimsy and simply not durable, borderline unfit for purpose. This will be the 3rd one that I need to replace in 5 years and that includes a temporary 12-month fix on the last one. Just look at how many get sold on here to see just how many are breaking. While it lasts it's nice looking and easy to use with just one hand, right up until the shower head holder gives up the ghost, it's not a case of if but when. When that happens the head simply droops to face the floor and there's no magic blue pill to fix this lack of stiffness. You might say that 20 quid (plus the time & effort to order & fit) every 12-18 months is no biggie, which it isn't, particularly, however, that won't be the case when it comes to purchasing your 3rd, 4th or 5th, especially when the showers typically cost in the ...
