Thanks for sending so promptly. However I was very surprised to find it was solid! I've been using Benzyl Benzoate as a very successful ear cleaner for my dogs and it's always come in liquid form. Please can u tell me why this is?. Many thanks Linda Lewis

Would not recommend this product, I can’t see how you can dilute it as it’s mixed with vegetable oil and the solution is very runny. If you diluted with water I would have thought the solution would have separated. My horse has been seriously burnt after applying this product, as the oil dripped down onto his neck, vegetable oil and sunlight has resulted in serious sunburn in which my horse has now lost his hair and has pink burnt sore scabbed skin. My horse not only has sweetitch but is now been treated for the worst sunburn and reaction to this product. Can’t see how this could benefit any horse especially if they are outdoors. Why it is diluted with vegetable oil I can’t understand. Seriously unhappy with this product, in future I will ask my vets for a prescription, as the Benzyl Benzoate I used to get was a cream solution. Read full review

This product was recommended to me for sweet itch on my pony. I used it diluted with vegetable oil according to the instructions. It caused a very bad reaction on the pony. Large areas of skin were burned away and his sheath swole up. This necessitated veterinary treatment. He is now being treated with anti inflammatory drugs but there is no improvement to date. Antibiotics are the next step. There was no warning of skin irritation or allergies with the product. I DO NOT recommend this product.

The product is obviously for horses. I don't have horses, I keep chickens. The warm weather this year has meant that I was plagued with red mite in the coop. These little parasites are a nightmare to eradicate. A horsey friend had used the product for sweet itch and noticed that it killed all the mites. It's by far the most succesful product I've tried!. Mix 1 part chemical with 4 parts water and keep shaking as you spray in the coop.

There are stacks of things that profess to stop itching on horses but they are normally far more expensive and don't last long. Many years ago I used to use this product on a Welsh C with sweet itch...it never let me down, so when i noticed my little coloured mare had partially rubbed her mane (from wintering out rugged up) I bought this product. Followed the instructions, and with gloved hands I rubbed in liberally, also behind her knees where she becomes itchy, dry and scaley ....10 days later all areas are soft, no longer itchy and hair regrowth is looking good. Bonus is I have barely used any of the product because of the dilution rate. Downside is it does smell, horses aren't overly keen because of the smell, apply with a headcollar on 😊
