I had a dead key on the lower end of my PSR & decided to try to fix myself. The most daunting part of the process was removing the screws to get to the keyboard contact strips (approx. 40 in all ranging over 6 sizes). But if you label them as I did not difficult albeit time consuming. In fact some specified in the Yamaha service manual are unnecessary if this is all you are doing. When you get to the contacts they are relatively easy to replace just make sure they are not kinked, seated squarely and move freely. This saved me hundreds of pounds in needing a Yamaha service engineer, In fact Yamaha still has not responded to my request for help on their web site after 2 months !!!
