I bought Inspector Gadget 2 on DVD as I had previously owned it on video when it was first released. The film is much more like the cartoon than the original Inspector Gadget film and this was definitely my favourite of the two. A whole new cast did the job much better than the original and its slapstick humour still raises a smile. The special effects may seem a bit dated nowadays due to the advancement of technology, but the acting is solid. The plot is more cartoon-esque with the villain, 'The Claw' attempting to build a giant laserbeam with the ability to stop time. The plot is less serious and threatening than the original. Young children and anyone who loves the Inspector Gadget cartoon will find this a memorable film to add to their collection. I give this film a 4 out of 5 stars. Another good DVD release from Disney.Read full review
Great family film - both Inspector Gadget and G2 get fired - inspector Gadget takes on a job as a cleaner - but they both decide that they shoud work together to solve the mystery and get their jobs back - my kids love this film
This one was, in some respects, a bit rubbish comparing to the first. All the characters have changed and 'apparently' some guy called Baxter invented Inspector Gadget, not the lady from NO 1. Not a fantasic movie and over all boring.
I bought my Son the first Inspector Gadget and he really enjoyed it, so when I seen the second one, I wanted to get him that as I knew he would enjoy it just as much as the first one in this series.
the film was good for laughs and entertament it had good special effects it made good watching for that boring day when theirs nothing on tv the film is as good as the cartoon
