    Perfect title

    Well known make should be reliable. It wouldn't work at first because I had it connected through and extension lead and USB hub. Needs to be connected direct to the computer. Apparently common to all USB drives. Came extremely well packaged.

    cost-effective basic backup

    works well. compact (makes it easy to find a tough case for it, IF needed to carry in rucksack,etc.). very good price for capacity offered. enables me to easily do a basic back-up of my documents, pictures, and music files over a usb3 port. I'm quite pleased I got this. xD

    I had to replace my older (approx 4years) WD 2TB drive as it siezed up and stopped everything else from working including device manager to stip the processes. Important that I got my stuff backed up before the laptop packed in too. Couldn't find anything on the net about how to cure the problem. So I have another WD drive full of records but no way of getting it out.

    Buy high quality such as WD

    Buying a low cost external hard drive is a waste of money, they are too vulnerable to errors in files and data can be lost, I have bought two recently to my cost. The WD works as it should. Be warned
