These Grade 4 cedar shingles are, understandably and as expected, replete with shakes and knots. However, laid with care and with at least the recommended headlap and pitch, perfectly rain proof and look beautifully rustic. I've roofed an outdoor sauna project with these and will probably buy more for my plunge pool roof

I buy a lot of shingles and these are not what I’d expect. I’ve included a couple of photos, these are just a tiny example. The better grades would require no trimming etc but this is reflected in their higher price. We offer the Best Grade #1 Blue Label shingles which have zero defects and the #2 Grade Red Label shingles which have minimal defects and the defects are found in the top 1/2 of the shingles which are covered when installed. The #4Green Label can have defects anywhere in them as advertised and require trimming when installing

The quality of the shingle tiles appears very good for the grade quoted and the price was competitive. Delivery was at the limit of that promised but the goods were well packed and wrapped on a pallet. Again the delivery driver was most helpful. I would have no reservation about dealing with this supplier again.
