I deliberately chose a well-known make (Bosch) because experimenting with bits from the unknown make on two sources of stainless steel was a failure - unable to drill into the stainless of both examples. Regrettably, likewise with the Bosch bits. All of these drill bits, however, would cut through mild steel with no problem. What does this all mean? No idea.
