The Beginning of Paul McCartney’s Modern Sound - “Flowers in the Dirt”

Until “Give My Regards to Broad Street”, Paul McCartney’s music was closer to classic, straight Rock. However, after the transitional “Press to Play”, his “modern” sound began with this “Flowers in the Dirt” album of 1989. A real gem!

  • Paul's last great LP

Is this Paul's last great LP. Maybe , he certainly benefited from having Elvis Costello to write with a la Lennon . Don't know why he didn't repeat the exercise , shame as this has some great tunes.
