Thought provoking, quite helpful.
As with all books of this nature, it is more helpful in retrospect, rarely are such useful insights read during the "parenting" years. My wife and I were attracted to its content because we have two grand-daughters, the youngest one is as bright as a button and brings us great joy, the eldest is having an awkward adolescence which makes us anxious because we don't understand how to best respond to her behaviour. This book was helpful in giving us a better perspective. If you want a better bond with you kids, this will help.
Was suggested to me by my counsellor, as I want to avoid repeating things that happened to me, being done to my precious little daughter. This book helps you look at your behaviour towards your kids and show where you need to improve, so you can have a better relationship with them.

Phillippa Perry is a brilliant communicator, always clear with lots of examples this is a must read for anyone who has anything to do with other people....especially children.
