About this product

Product Information

World champion BMX rider Mat Hoffman pedals across nine cities along with eleven other professionals in this follow-up to 2001's stunt-based racing title. Road Trip and Session are the two single-player modes, while friends can join in the following eight multiplayer games: Graffiti War, Trick Attack, Tag, Horse, Push, Free Ride, Treasure Hunt, and Halfpipe Hell. The main game, Road Trip, has players taking a cross-country trek across America while avoiding pedestrians, helicopters, boats, and cars in each city. <br><br>The action begins in Oklahoma City at the Hoffman Warehouse, where players perform various runs while trying to score as many points as possible by performing tricks. As players string together manual flatland tricks, air tricks, stall tricks on the halfpipe, and grinds along rails, edges, and lips, they build up an Adrenaline Meter as well as earn points. When filled, the Adrenaline Meter offers even more tricks to players, which are specific to the selected rider. The Road Trip continues to Chicago, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Boston, Los Angeles, Portland, and Hawaii.<br><br>Session mode has players simply choosing one of the available levels and biking for two, five, or ten minutes, with the goal being to set new records within each time frame. The Xbox-exclusive London level is available in this mode as well as in the multiplayer Free Ride, so players will be able to hitch a ride on a double-decker bus and witness the distinctive sights and sounds of England. As players become more skilled, they may have their achievements recorded to the Hall of Fame, where stats such as Biggest Air, Longest Grind, Biggest Gap, and Highest Single Combo Score are saved.<br><br>An enhanced course editor lets players design their own obstacle-filled environment and stunts such as wall rides, tire taps, the backpacker, and the hitchhiker can be captured for posterity using a built-in snapshot system that saves images to a Scrapbook. Featured pro riders include Mike Escamilla, Joe Kowalski, Day Smith, Cory Nastazio, Kevin Robinson, Simon Tabron, Ruben Alcantara, Seth Kimbrough, Nate Wessel, and Rick Thorne. <br><br>Rider Chad Kagy is also featured as an Xbox exclusive and Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 supports the console's custom soundtrack feature that lets players listen to their own music stored on the system's hard drive. Licensed songs from such artists as Ice-T, LL Cool J, Crazy Town, Eric B. and Rakim, Spoon, and Iggy Pop are included as part of the in-game music, which gradually becomes unlocked as players collect CDs found at various points along the courses.

  • Best BMX game for the Xbox, Ps2 & Gamecube.

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is in my opinion the best bmx game to date on the last gen consoles. Mostly because there isn't that many to begin with. The only other bmx games are Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Compared to the two... MH2 is leaps ahead of them. Mostly becuase it uses a lot of structure from the Tony Hawk games which gives it a familiar feeling. MH2 also has a good sountrack. I would of really liked to have seen another sequel to this game, it deserved it.

  • Good BMX game of whats out there

it is a pretty good bmx game, since all there is, is wasteland, dave mirra, and this, there isn't much to compare it to. the controls are somewhat confusing at first, but get better, the challenges got difficult fast, and so did small maps on multiplayer. but its definetly be fun, especially since there's not much else.

  • Mad fun!!

Gameplay graphics difficulty all rate AwEsOmE in my book!! Will be a welcome addition to my vintage xbox collection. Hours of fun and heck...its Mat Hoffman!! Whats not to like?!?!?!?!

  • Good Game
