Cute 80s movie.
Cute 80s movie about a rich girl whose Fairy Godmother makes her poor to teach her a lesson. Good cast especially Dick Shawn as Valerie Perrine as a Nouveau Riche couple trying to fit in, in Beverly Hills through their wild eccentricities.

A fun movie.
The lighting of the entire movie is a little dark. Everything is watchable, but a bit disappointed in the quality. I'll keep it cuz I've been looking so long for it, and no one has it for less money, I'll just deal with the quality. Though I will admit, spending nearly $30 for a DVD certainly was far more than I wanted to spend. This movie wasn't some 5-star hit, so I can't for the life of me figure out WHY it was so expensive everywhere I searched. Oh well.........The lighting of the entire movie is a little dark. this is a cite and funny remake of the old version rich spoiled goes from high fashing and jet living live style to being a maid.learning what really inportant in live then just money thank to her fairy godmother.she ends up with true friends who like her for herself and I guy she falls for.sine she ment them when she had no money to buy her way out of trouble and peolpe liking her for herself for the first time.kind of like a cinderella story except poor lttle rich girl gets what she wants in the end then gets it all back again.I enjoyed the the comdy and acting in the fim which was supriseing good sine there were no big names in the move at all. real feel good movie
I saw this movie when it first came out. In my opinion this is Ally Sheedy's best. Beverly D'Angelo is wonderful as the "fairy godmother" who takes a spoiled rich girl from her pampered life into the role of maid, in her own home with the "servants" she never noticed. She is able to see life thru the eyes of others & "walk in their shoes", literally. A rare find and Fantastic movie. Highly recommend as a story with a moral & many funny scenes.I saw this movie when it first came out. In my opinion this is Ally Sheedy's best. Beverly D'Angelo is wonderful as the "fairy godmother" who takes a spoiled rich girl from her pampered life into the role of maid, in her own home with the "servants" she never noticed.
