No more embarrassing power trips
A must if you want to use the 3kW setting for your combination boiler. This device enables you to set your boiler power setting to a value close to the rating of the EHU (3kW for a 15 or 16 amp EHU) without the fear that switching on a further load in the caravan or motorhome (such as a kettle) will trip the EHU. When any additional device (such as the afore mentioned kettle) is turned on the power used by the boiler is automatically reduced (to either 2kW, 1kW or zero) until the additional load is removed - when the full desired boiler power is reinstated. The only way to trip a 16 amp EHU is to demand over 16 amps on top of those required by the boiler!A must if you want to use the 3kW setting for your combination boiler. Purchased this for my Swift Conqueror 570. A lot of site electric bollards are now locked and only accessible by the site owners/wardens. With the amount of electrics in todays vans, I am always wary that the supply could trip invariably at night possibly causing inconvenience to other users of the same bollard. The sensor fits around the main incoming main feed before the consumer unit. The other end plugs directly into the rear of the Alde control panel. I had already connected the TV speakers to the fitted stereo speakers at the front of the van so utilised the same trunking route for this sensor cable [in total took about an hour] Am now able to set the incoming supply rating in stages between 6 and 16 amps.
