Straightforward swap
Perfect replacement for my broken catch. Easy to fit. Shame I’m onto my 3rd catch in a year, not this sellers fault though. Obviously a manufacturer issue. Nice to know it’s easy to get an replacement.

Weak plastic catch
Thetford need to redesign this catch, the spring inside the catch is very weak and cannot stand up to the rigors of caravan life. If I could of found another spring it would be an easy fix and cost less than a couple of pence. I would suggest Thetford should supply a couple of spare springs. At £9.99 it's a very expensive fix when you don't need to replace anything else. Thetford fridge door latch item 62698527
Arrived one day earlier than expected. Included all latch parts with stay for keeping door open when not in use, screws and a blank for the hinge side door top so I had some bits left over. This was a direct replacement and easily fitted. I only wanted the small spring really but it all looks good and it works.
