  • AWSOME BOOK! Angels & Demons

To be honest, I really did not know what I was getting into, just by the title of this book. I think the title is a little misleading, because it seemed to give the impression the story was more "supernatural". i was very pleasantly surprised. in fact, i'll rate this book as one of the best I have ever read. the characters just seem to come alive on the pages, and it is hard to put the book down. The twists and turns that Dan Brown makes while the dangerous canister is being sought are just amazing. This book uses so much religous history PLUS the "who-done-it" angle, it is a MUST read. I rate this book actually better than The DaVinci Code which is also an awsome book.

  • Angels & Demons...The Long & Short of It...Mostly Long!

Finally the book has ended! Don't get me wrong, I am an avid reader and love a good book and story, but this book dragged on beyond all decency. Just when I thought it should be ending(make it stop..please make it stop!), there was 5,000 more pages to read (I'm in hell)! Unfortunately, before I knew I was reading the neverending story, I was past the point of no return and could not throw the book in a dark corner; I had to finish reading it. I saw the movie, "The Da Vinci Code", and enjoyed it so I decided to read its prequel (mistake). The story itself was not bad. It was full of intrigue, twists (most of which I figured out prior to it being revealed) and interesting historical information. The main character however, had a few moron moments similar to those wonderful horror movies ...

  • Angels and Demons

It was a wonderful read, much like Da Vinci Code, quick and entertaining. I especially like the science and classics references to Bernini's sculptures, Vatican art and the Church's proceedings. Some parts were silly, like stating it was good that Robert Langdon, the protagonist, played water polo at Harvard for his underwater fight with the killer. He had a gun and could simply have used it. The ending was trite, when he "gets the girl". It's almost as if he couldn't find a way to finish it in the intelligent way he'd begun.

  • I READ THIS IN 3 DAYS, SO CAN YOU! EXCELLENT READ!

Dan Brown's Angels and Demons is a fast-paced detective drama that combines science, art, religion, and murder. Harvard symbology professor Robert Langdon is the protagonist who finds himself at a Swiss nuclear research facility. It seems a scientist has been murdered and the infamous Illuminati society is somehow involved. Some antimatter has been taken, and Langdon joins the scientist's daughter, Vittoria, on a mad dash through some of Rome's most famous landmarks, in an effort to find it before the Vatican is leveled. I liked the plot of Angels and Demons and found much of middle section wonderfully absorbing and tense, as Robert and Vittoria decipher ancient clues and race from place to place in Rome, fast on the heels of a murderer. The beginning of the book, which discusses ...

  • Great Book - MUST READ

I read Da Vinci Code first and then picked up Angels and Demons. I must say I was not disappointed. Just another great book by Dan Brown. Its a prequel to the Da Vinci Code but you don't have to read the books in order - I didn't and thoroughly enjoyed both. This book, similar to the Da Vinci Code, is a highly suspenseful religious thriller. And when I mean suspenseful - you can't put the book down - you keep wondering what is going to happen in the next chapter - just captivating - its like watching a great movie. I found the ending in this book to be better than the Da Vinci Code purely b/c of its suspense factor and surprise twists - but I will give Dan Brown his due again for doing his research to make this fiction standout and seem that he is telling a real story. Such detail ...
