Product Information

Released as Speed Freaks in Europe, Speed Punks is a kart-style racer starring six miniature miscreants who compete on 12 themed courses, ranging from a moonlit cove to a neon city. Each vehicle is individually rated in top speed, weight, collision recovery, and acceleration. After selecting a character, you can choose from the following five play modes: Tournament, Single Race, Time Attack, Versus, and Multiplayer. Tournament is a four-event race on one of three difficulty settings, where you'll need to finish in the top three to advance. Collect power-ups and weapons found along each course to improve your chances. The 11 items include missiles, bombs, speed boosts, a machine gun, stealth mode, slime, and more. Up to four players can race against each other via split-screen display. Complete various milestones to unlock bonus features and hidden play modes.

    awesome game from the playstation 1 era

    i have never been a big video game buff but this is an awesome game from back in the day. i used to own it but somehow through the years it had gotten misplaced. if you have played the game in the past i'm sure you would agree its fun. if you haven't and you like racing games i reccomend this one. fun tracks racing go carts with your choice of 4 racers, the best part is you get to pick up ammunition to defend your position. it can be played as single or multi- player. may not be able to compete with the graphics of the newer games but it is alot of fun. a classic in my opinion.

    Great Game

    Although it was a little scratched , it played good after a little cleaning, i took off the $4.99 sticker and cleaned up the case aswell, looks good. as of now the game runs good and plays well.

    Speed Punks For The Playstation

    I originally borrowed this game from a friend. Man, did I love it. I gave it back and he either lost it or sat on it. Anyway, I bought it off here for a great price and I'm actually playing it right now, as I write this comment. A classic, which is why I went though all the trouble of getting it. Got 9 more original playstation games to go. If you don't own it you should, that is, if you aren't all caught up in this current generation of systems and software. I say that previous line because I am quite wraped around my Playstation 3 but still play a lot of old games, as hard as it is to believe.
