Good product but be aware this does not fit large ironing boards.
This Ironing board cover is made from a decent quality material but not quite as good as some of the better known makes. The product title description is slightly misleading in that it reads as if this cover will fit a board up to 125 cm in length when in fact it does not. The maximum board length would be more akin to 120cm. There is no issue with width. This cover works well with the iron and will ensure good smooth ironing. The sellers dispatch time was acceptable. I would recommend this product to somebody with a small or medium size ironing board. Disappointing purchase
How disappointing. The manufactured size of the cover as produced is exactly the same size as the 125x47 cm Minky ironing board top.The drawstring is unable to tighten the cover.. We modified the drawstring by providing a slit in the fabric at regular intervals.The slit was used for new cord placed under the ironing board / through the slit.The cord was used to hold down/stretch the cover for a flat/retained profile. The cover is of good quality/good value but is the advertised size correct??????How disappointing. Why metallized covers are best, and this is lne.
I was looking to replace our metallized ironing board cover which had developed a tear after years of ise. Previously Ihad used the plain cotton covers that usually come with new ironing boards, but found that metalized covers reflect the heat of the iton quicker and give a crisper result when ironing. The plain cotton covers tend to start off saturated with damp, and after some ironing , become thin and hard while dry as a bone layer in the ironing session. In contrast, metallized covers give a consistent performance to ironing from start to end of the ironing session. Like the difference berween a clapped out banger car, and a new car. This one comes with draw strings and massive area to fit ANY size of ironing board imaginable. Just trim off the spare end once the cover has been ...
