An impetuous princess discovers that her reckless choice has put both her family and her father's kingdom in peril in this animated adventure from Pixar films. Merida may be the daughter of royalty, but all she wants out of life is to become a truly great archer. When Merida and her mother clash over the willful girl's future, the decisions she makes have greater repercussions that she ever imagined. Now, in order to save her mother's life and bring peace back to the Highlands, Merida will have to face off against the forces of nature and contend with an ancient curse.

I adore this film, such a wonderful twist on the usual fairytales. Ancient Celtic law and legends form the backdrop that's stifling Merida, the young feisty Princess who should be married off to a Clansman, as tradition would have it . . . or could there be another way? Wonderful animation that only Pixar can flawlessly create, great humour and storyline with voiceovers from Billy Connolly, Julie Waters & Emma Thompson. It's a truly magical DVD that I watch over and over again and am enchanted by each and every time. Every age group will adore this film so it's a worthy addition to any DVD collection.I adore this film, such a wonderful twist on the usual fairytales. I have not been able to watch much of this movie myself but my 5 Granddaughters aged 18 months to 5 years absolutely adore this film so do the adults, it is something for all the family. Set around Princess Merida who is the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, Merida is very headstrong and doesn't want to abide by old clan customs like getting married she wants to do her own thing but her actions cause chaos in the Kingdom - very entertaining.I have not been able to watch much of this movie myself but my 5 Granddaughters aged 18 months to 5 years absolutely adore this film so do the adults, it is something for all the family. I bought it for my granddaughters 18th birthday part of her Disney films she loved growing up she has been to Florida with us and her Dance team to compete in there and both times was so proud of Scotland when she saw and heard the song a fantastic film 1 of her all time favourite Disney movies she still watches it with her nephew
