The third game in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series of tactical shooters features an original storyline that has Team RAINBOW embarking on a 15-mission campaign to protect the world from criminal and terrorist behavior. As in previous installments, players must select up to eight personnel best suited for the task at hand, outfit them with the latest in weapons technology and equipment, then carefully infiltrate various buildings or enemy strongholds to neutralize the threat before it is too late. Players will visit locales set in London, the Caribbean, Rio de Janeiro, Switzerland, and more. For the first time in the series, Ubi Soft Montreal (Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell) takes the reigns over from Red Storm Entertainment for development duties.<br><br>Missions in Raven Shield range from protecting a bank to daring hostage rescues, locating a biological weapons cache before the enemy, and defusing bombs in the nick of time. The graphic engine used in Raven Shield is based on Epic Games Inc.'s Unreal technology, which allows for weapons to be viewed onscreen, a first in the Rainbow Six series, and offers more variety in texture detail, background activity, and character animations. A total of 56 weapons and accessories (such as sound suppressors and thermal scopes) are available to outfit teams with, while six dedicated multiplayer maps encourage online competition via LAN or Internet. LAPD Medal of Valor recipient Mike Grasso helped design the tactics employed by the non-player characters in the game as well as some of the gadgets and character reactions.

    Rainbow Six- SWAT Style

    It's no Vegas, but its still Rainbow Six, and its still a cool game to have in the arsenal. Basically its almost exactly like Rainbow Six 3 for console. Raven Shield is strategy based, while RS3 is shock squad based. In Raven Shield you can make three entry teams; fully outfitted in different types of armor and armor colors, weapons, ammunition type, and assault plans with waypoints. It's slower than RS3, but it is more thorough and professional. So for five bucks go ahead and try it. Its pretty cool and the strategy offers a change of pace for the Rainbow series.

    I love theses pc games

    This is a great game I have several of the Tom Clancy Pc games. the graphics are great plus for the beginner they have a easy level to start on until you get good then your able to step it up.Plus there is a teacing part on all his games that take you step by step thru the actions you are able to use on the game makes it very user friendly.

    Tom Clancy's Raven Shield (PC Game)

    All of Tom Clancy's games are good, good story, good action games and yes I did like the game as with all the rest of his games. I thought Rainbow six vegas and rainbow six vegas 2 was two of his best. those I would rate as excellent. Thanks.
