I love this driver because it feels very solid and you can work the ball with it. The interchangable weight plugs and interchangable shaft tip allows you to optimize/manipulate your ball flight. It is 420cc so it is solid. It doesn't have that hallow feel to it that I dislike about the R9 460cc version or as a matter of fact, any 460cc drivers period. Plus the TP version has many great shaft options. After hitting a demo version of this club at a local golf retailer, I really like it and decided to buy it on eBay. I got it for half the retail price from a guy in New York, who only hit a bucket of balls with it at a driving range. It was still brand new when I received it and I still love it after about 15 rounds. I'm a 10 handicap and would highly recommend this club to anyone who loves ... Great club, played it for the first time today. I have been using the taylormade R7 previously and am pleased with the feel and acuracy of the R9. I look forward to longer more accurate tee-shots and shorter irons in this year. The new adjustablity of the R9 allows the the owner to change a variety of loft and lie angles that used to require a completely different club.

This club can be set to MY preferred trajectory, so all I have to do is "grip and rip it". The Matrix HD6 shaft has a lot of "pop". I have found this club more accurate than any other driver I have used. Technology like this has allowed me to continue to drive it out there with the "flat bellies". A truly great golf club. I won't be returning any time soon to a club that I can't adjust to fit MY swing. I hate trying to play clubs that really don't "fit". Being able to adjust the shot shape is the best part of this club. I can set up the feel of the club to do what I need. Cut shots Draws down the middle. This club does it all and build confidence. That's the key to a great game and shooting low scores.
