good album,esp. 'calm before the storm'
was a big sparks fan in the 70's,then got a bit disappointed with the 'disco' stuff. went to see them live in february,and kind of rediscovered them again.some of the live tracks were from the 'balls' album,so i decided to buy it.almost back to their best.have also recently purchased 'lil' beethoven'album,which is even better.a bit disappointed with 'hello young lovers' their most recent album,but long live sparks.will see them live again in october.was a big sparks fan in the 70's,then got a bit disappointed with the 'disco' stuff. went to see them live in february,and kind of rediscovered them again.some of the live tracks were from the 'balls' album,so i decided to buy it.almost back to their best.have also recently purchased 'lil' beethoven'album,which is even better.a bit disappointed with 'hello young lovers' their most recent album,but long live sparks.will see them live again in october.

sparks is good music
I brought this cd because i saw sparks at guilfest and liked them.I like the packaging of CDs but it is a shame that the music is all the same on all four CDs. Music is very good. clicker1938.

Sparks - Balls (Limited Edition) (CD 2000)
I was familiar with about half of the album, but with about a week or so to go before Sparks played the whole album "live" from start to finish for the first time EVER at Islington Academy in North London, I thought it was high time that I hunted it down! 2 days before the concert, the album arrived in pristine condition, and was able to listen to the tracks that I didn't know in readiness for the concert! What can I say? The whole album is just incredible! These Mael Bros are musical geniuses! The concert was amazing too, with an unreleased track "Audrey Hepburn" as the encore.I was familiar with about half of the album, but with about a week or so to go before Sparks played the whole album "live" from start to finish for the first time EVER at Islington Academy in North London, I thought it was high time that I hunted it down! 2 days before the concert, the album arrived in pristine condition, and was able to listen to the tracks that I didn't know in readiness for the concert!
