It is easy to use the interchangable parts they all just click in and out of place. It is also very easy to empty the dust cup , it can be done from both ends. Over the moon with my Shark vacuum. Ordered yesterday, delivered today, assembled in minutes and the dog hair it is gathering from the carpet is amazing. I have two other vacuums but pushing them across carpets with 4 broken ribs, from New Year's Eve morning, is very painful. The Shark is not only easier (by miles) but I can see when it needs emptying with no expensive bags that the Kirby and the Henry need!! Stairs would be too dangerous but maybe not with the Shark? 100% recommended!
