    Wailin' Jennys 'Firecracker C.D......

    The Wailin' Jennys are back - and better than ever. Soprano Ruth Moody, Mezzo Nicky Mehta and Alto Annabelle Chvostek (she replaced Cara Luft) have skillfully crafted beautiful new music in the 'signature' Jennys' style. I particularly like the hauntingly beautiful "Apocalypse Lullaby" and "Prairie Town". My girlfriend and I both cried when we heard these songs. This 'album' was skillfully produced by David Travers-Smith (he also produced "40 Days") and is worth it's weight in gold - if you're as 'into' the Jennys' music as we are. I can hardly wait for their new C.D., which should be out in the Spring or Summer of 2009.

    Wailin' Jennys-- Firecracker

    Listening to these Canadian women sing prompted me to want more-- I immediatley went to thier website to find out when they were touring through my area. I can't wait to see them live in 2 weeks-- by then I will be able to really appreciate the beauty of their craft. The blending of the harmonies can bring tears to you eyes....
