    We (all of humanity) would be A LOT happier if we and those around us were more conscious and living from the heart (more loving when relating - at home, in public, when doing business with others, when working with others) instead of being deceptive/shady, nasty, cruel, instead of insulting competing with, oppressing, exploiting, abusing or seeking power over others. Good book.

    Handbook to Higher Consciousness by Ken Keyes Jr. (1984

    Ken Keyes wrote an exceptionally understandable book about how one can reduce or eliminate suffering. His work anticipates some of the teachings of "A Course in Miracles" but is much easier to comprehend and work with. One might call it a Westerner's means to practical buddhist enlightenment... eventually! The language is from the 70s but don't be put off by that
