  • The daddy of them all !

This is a must for anyone wishing to know about the birth of modern art. The great thing about this book is not only the yummy repros but the quotes from Cezanne...pithy and to the point AND very profound. I think only artists would get them...or people on the spiritual path because they deal with profundities too deep to articulate...which is why the man was VISUAL. Also recommended, Degas by himself for the same reasons.
