Product Information

The bestselling WWI classic now reissued in the new Faulks series style Birdsong is a mesmerising story of love and war spanning three generations between WW1 and present day. THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER 1910. Amiens, Northern France. Stephen Wraysford, a young Englishman, arrives in the French city to stay with the Azaire family. He falls in love with unhappily married Isabelle and the two enter a tempestuous love affair. But, with the world on the brink of war, the relationship falters. With his love for Isabelle forever engraved on his heart, Stephen volunteers to fight on the Western Front and enters the unimaginable dark world beneath the trenches of No Man's Land. From award-winning writer Sebastian Faulks, Birdsong is an exceptionally moving and unforgettable portrait of the ruthlessness of war and the indestructability of love. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT CRIMINAL SCAM ENTERPRISE!!! They have a very intentional pattern of defrauding their customers: first, they offer a hard-to-find media item at what looks like a pretty good price, but with a long shipping window. Then they never send the item, which they almost certainly never possessed in the first place. They are banking on the customer forgetting to follow up so they can keep the money. Zero replies from the seller to multiple messages. DISGRACEFUL!!!

This book never arrived. I contacted the seller on numerous occasions with zero response. I now believe this item is out of print and may not be reprinted, so its unlikely this seller has any of tese books to sell, even though it is still listed as being available.

The book was very spoils in its appearance. Very yellowed. I would be reluctant to pass it on to a friend.
